DATA NETWORKS CORPORATION AND EVERWARE-CBDI PARTNER TO ACCELERATE SOA ADOPTION IN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

Partnership to Provide Full Support for Enterprise SOA Adoption
RESTON, VA, September 19, 2006 – Data Networks Corporation (DNC), a leading enterprise data management and business process design firm, and Everware-CBDI, Inc., a global consulting firm specializing in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), announced today they have established a business partnership to help federal government organizations successfully adopt and implement enterprise SOA strategies.
“Everware-CBDI currently supports F1000 enterprises and government agencies worldwide with SOA research, best practices, education and consulting services,” said Warren Ellmore, President of Everware-CBDI North America. “Our new partnership blends DNC’s highly regarded data and business process management capability with our SOA experience to support the federal government’s objectives in information sharing and shared services, as well as the expanded objectives for Enterprise Architectures,” Ellmore concluded.
The partnership has already resulted in contracts to support SOA initiatives with the U.S. Transportation Command and the U.S. Department of the Interior.
SOA is widely forecast to be the most profound transformation in the history of business and IT, and most government agencies are either planning or undergoing SOA adoption at the enterprise or program level. SOA is viewed as the key approach to implementing Enterprise Architectures and delivering Information Sharing capability – two major government initiatives. Undertaken correctly, SOA enables the highest level of convergence between business and IT, in which information solutions reflect the real requirements of the business for efficiency, standardization and adaptability. Well executed SOA can deliver significant reductions in cost and help enterprises improve their business processes for growth and flexibility.
“This is a critical time for government agencies as they transition their business processes and IT portfolio to a services paradigm,” said Feliza Kepler, Chief Executive Officer of DNC. “To be successful, this transition must be driven by business requirements, strategic planning and structured adoption. Our partnership with Everware-CBDI provides a ‘one-stop shop’ for agencies to access a full range of education and consulting services backed by industry proven methods to produce readiness assessments, business cases, roadmap plans as well as architecture and implementations,” added Kepler.
